As far as #baegoals go, Diego Luna is pretty high up there. Having been immersed in the arts since childhood, Diego is known as an actor, director, and producer.

We’re so excited to see him star in Rogue One as Captain Cassian Andor. Diego himself said the newest Star Wars story is chingona. Here’s a look at some of our favorite Diego Luna films.

In the self-titled biopic of the LGBTQ activist and politician, Diego Luna plays Harvey Milk’s (portrayed by Sean Penn) young, troubled lover who agonizes over Harvey’s devotion to political activism.

The Terminal

Inspired by true events, The Terminal tells the tale of Viktor (Tom Hanks), a man trapped at JFK airport when he’s denied entrance to the US but unable to return to his home country due to a coup. Diego co-stars as a sweet food service worker a the airport who befriends Viktor.


In the Academy Award winning film Frida, Diego Luna portrays one of Frida’s (Selma Hayek) lovers, of who she painted a portrait of.

The Book of Life


Diego lends his voice to Manolo Sanchez, a young man from a long line of bullfighters with his heart set on music, in the beautiful animated feature The Book of Life.

Y Tu Mama Tambien


What list of Diego Luna films would be complete without the classic coming-of-age story Y Tu Mama Tambien? Co-starring with Gael Garcia Bernal (another #baegoals), Y Tu Mama Tambien explores the relationship between two friends as they discover themselves with an older woman on a road trip in rural Mexico.
