Last minute birthdays, house warming, teacher gifts — it’s hard to shop for someone when you’re not really sure what they like(or who are super picky).
Here’s a solution: subscription boxes. Subscription boxes are also great for those indecisive and hard to please people as well.
The Chingona Box began in March of 2018 with the mission of supporting Latinx hustlers. They feature items from Brujita Skincare, Just GYV, G Soto Designs, Casa Papalotl, and many other businesses. Each month has theme such as Borracha, Viva La Muxer , and Friducha.
They have your standard box option, a smaller sampler box, and occasionally they have premium Jumbo boxes. Chingona Boxes usually have items like handmade jewelry, stickers, beauty samplers, and snacks. I think this would be the perfect gift for that someone who likes a little bit of everything or who is really hard to shop for. You can check them out here.
My Cajita is the perfect gift for the chef or home cook in your life. This box focuses on discovering Mexican culture. Most of their themes are around food and drink and usually contain things like recipes, cooking ware, and food seasonings.
My favorite theme so far has to be the “Salud” box. It came with custom glassware and margarita salt and agave. It’s my favorite because I like to party. You can check them out here.
My Brava Box
This box is perfect for the beauty lovers in your life. My Brava Box is the self proclaimed “Beauty Box for Latinas”. All of the products featured are from Latina Owned businesses like Vive Cosmetics, Beauty Creations, and Shop Amor.
I personally really love this box because I’m a makeup and beauty addict. You can check them out here.
Mi Caja Latina
Mi Caja Latina is one of the newest subscription boxes on this list. This box caters to “the Overlooked Latina”, focusing on intersectionality in Latinx businesses.
They feature items like pins, jewelry, and fashion from brands like Shop Destruya and artists like Zahira Kelley (aka @bad_dominicana). You can check out this box here.
This box makes my mouth water! Abuela Mami is a monthly subscription of Cuban goodies and treats. They have sweets, seasonings, sauces, coffee, etc. This would be a great gift for your Cuban friend that wants a taste of home. You can find them here.
Sol Book Box
The Sol Book Box is the perfect gift for your little primos or your friends’ with kids. This subscription sends you a Spanish language children’s’ book each month. Sol Book Box aims to help kids be bilingual and increase literacy. You can check them out here.
